About Amanda:
Amanda is the media relations manager for United States Steel Corp. in Pittsburgh. As a communications professional and former television journalist, telling important stories is her passion. Moved by Siena’s experience, Amanda joined hands with her friend Sherry Jo to try to find ways to address substance use and mental health disorders. As someone who has lost a number of friends to these diseases, she finds this cause deeply important. Amanda joined the Stop the Judgement Project board at its inception in 2021.
In addition to her work with Stop the Judgement Project, Amanda also is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, founding U. S. Steel’s SteelPRIDE employee resource group in 2020. She also has volunteered with Therapets Pittsburgh, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond and the Make a Wish Foundation.
She is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington with a BA in Journalism and Political Science and North Allegheny High School. She resides in Pittsburgh with her beloved beagle Bubbles.
