An accomplished medical professional with a diverse background, Dr. Yesh Navalgund has made a notable impact in the field of pain management and surgical training.

Dr. Navalgund’s educational journey is a testament to his dedication and pursuit of excellence. Dedicating himself to a path of medical expertise, Navalgund completed a surgery internship at the University of Virginia. Following this, he embarked on an anesthesiology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Demonstrating a commitment to specialization, he pursued a fellowship in interventional pain management at West Virginia University, further honing his skills and knowledge in this critical field.

A true visionary, Dr. Navalgund co-founded Dayo Navalgund Associates (DNA), the largest independent pain management group in Pittsburgh. His influence extended even further as he cofounded the National Bioskills Laboratories (NBL), a groundbreaking platform that provides surgical training centers across the nation. His contributions continued as he assumed the role of chief medical officer for the ambulatory surgery division of a major national pain management platform in the United States.

Beyond his professional achievements, Navalgund’s philanthropic efforts have left a positive impact on numerous lives. Notably, he was recognized as the Pittsburgh Father of the Year by the Pittsburgh Father’s Day Council in 2016, a testament to his role as a father and community leader. He is serving on the board of Stop the Judgment Project, where he shares his expertise in medicine to help alleviate the stigma of substance use disorders and mental health.
